Fink’s Jewelers

While many of the bands you purchase come from places like John C Nordt in Roanoke, many of the bands are transformed into custom pieces that you see in the stores. One of the best places here in Roanoke is Fink’s Jeweler’s right here in Roanoke.

When Carole and I got married, we went to Fink’s and met with Matt Fink, owner of the regional jeweler.

We liked the experience that we got with their staff and pricing too. Matt and his team we’re not only knowledgeable about all the pieces, they helped us pick our some wedding bands and matched our personality, out price range and out styles too.

One of the great things about Fink’s is they have an onsite jewelers that can transform pieces into whatever you dream up. From simple to elegant, they are the local go-to source in Roanoke.

R.M. Johnson & Son’s

Tucked away in downtown Salem, R.M. Johnson & Son’s has been around for quiet some time. In fact when I worked for Cendrick Enterprises filming weddings in the 1990’s, we were right next door to them.

They feature custom engagements rings as well as those from the popular Gabriel & Co. in New York.

The centerpiece and the "heart" of the store is a jeweler's loft on a beautiful curved mezzanine where our customers can still see their repair and design work being performed.

Other amenities include a dedicated point-of-sale and repair counter, a design and consultation area and easily accessible displays. We put R.M Johnson & Son’s on the list because this family owned company is highly rated within the community, has won countless awards and they have a wonderful customer experience too.

The family has been offering a great selection of bands for couples as they offer a an engaging experience for couples getting married.

Haywood’s Jewelers

Finally on our list is Haywood’s Jewelers in Westlake and Rocky Mount.

My friends Johanna and her sister Julie both work in the company and Haywood’s has gone from that old mom-n-pop in the 1950’s to a regional delight in the 21st century.
