What sets you apart from other wedding photographers?

One of the things that you may have noticed is that we offer our collections far below market value and there are some good reasons for that.

In our 23+ years of working within the wedding industry, we truly understand weddings and their massive costs in the 21st century.

Today, we’re going to explain why we offer a $4,500 experience for less than $3,000 and how we’re able to do that.

It’s Partly Where We Live

One of the main reasons why we don’t charge closer to $4,000 or $5,000 is in part, our location.

We live in Southwestern Virginia and this part of the Commonwealth is has a much lower cost of living than other regions in the Mid-Atlantic part of the United States.

While many of our counterparts need to charge more in order to thrive, we can get away with charging roughly 23% less than most because the cost of living in Roanoke is 23% less than NOVA, Washington, DC, Richmond, Tidewater, and Charlottesville.

And that’s a secret that you brides can use to your advantage, booking quality vendors in neighboring markets.

Most times, even with a travel fee, they will be less expensive with similar quality and experience and you can use that savings in another part of the wedding.

It’s Not Our Livelihood Any Longer

In 2015, we sold out business and got out completely for a short while, seeing a lot of zero’s at the end of a check and signing a non-compete clause was the reason for leaving.

However, by late 2017, those new owners folded and left, leaving us to get back into the wedding industry.

This time, however, Joshua and I decided to enter the industry again, but limit ourselves on the number of weddings we do each year.

We love working with couples and we love being able to provide them media for one of the most important days of their lives, their wedding.

While others in the industry are completing among themselves for your hard earned money, we’re simply happy to help couples retain wonderful memories.

10 is the Magic Number

And that number we decided on is 10.

Why?

For a couple of reasons, first, this is not our full-time venture any longer, we want to remain in the wedding industry, but we also don’t want to scoop up as much business as we can either.

10 seems like a perfect number for us, it allows us to still enjoy the craft of being behind the camera.

The other wonderful thing about what we do is that it allows us to truly build those relationships with our clients and we more times than none treat them more like family than a client, at least that’s our goal.

Once we reach 10, we turn couples away and often feed our competition with those leads so they can maximize their bookings.

Other Sources Of Income

Some of you may be wondering how we make our money if we only operate with 10 clients annually.

Truth be told, we do have other sources of income ranging from contracts, investments, and some in savings too and it doesn’t get in the way of our businesses.

Having multiple sources of income works best for us and it allows us to be able to keep offering services for brides and grooms alike.

We Truly Love Our Craft

Yes, we truly love the craft of images and video and while we are much older than most of our counterparts, we are established in the region and recognized as an industry leader too with speaking events, teaching others how to grow their wedding business without spending tons of money, and we enjoy capturing those moments in time when we can too.

Over the last 20+ years, we’ve seen many-many people come and leave the wedding industry, in fact, very few stay more than just a few years, we’re simple blessed to be apart of the couples we serve.

While some may think that we’re tooting our own horn, we’re not.

We’re simply well established in the wedding industry, offer an incredible experience for our couples at pricing that puts money back into their pocketbooks.
