The Kyle House Wedding Venue Review
Carole and I had the privilege to film over the weekend for Kayla and Michael at The Kyle House in Fincastle, VA. This make our 23rd trip to the The Kyle over the last several years but this one was a bit different.
Kayla and Michael were true high school sweethearts as they were both homing queen and king at their high school and the officiant happened to be one one of their former teachers, so just about everyone knew each other at the wedding which made things a bit special.
As we filmed our normal routine at the popular wedding venue, Carole was able to take some AMAZING images of me working behind the scenes. One of the first thing that you’ll notice about the venue, is that the barn is a lot different than the reception hall.
The barn is an old white barn with a painted runner down the middle of the aisle filled with tulle hanging form the ceiling, lanterns all throughout and crystal chandlers in the building too. As a matter of fact, the main Chandler in the building was once owned by Carrie Fishers mother, Debbie Reynolds. If that name rings a bell, it should, Carrie played Princess Leia in Star Wars. That’s a pretty neat piece of history alone.
One of the unique things about The Kyle House is the history you’ll find throughout, not only is it a nice place to get married, but it’s feature rich in the historical elements too.
The Kyle House was built in the 1830’s as a general store and Victorian house with the chapel as an old barn that was used for farm animals. Today, it;s one of the regions most popular places to get married at couples love the decor, the history and the overall vibe of the buildings too.
