Free wedding calculator & money-saving tips

Helping you breakdown the wedding costs can be a challenge at times and we understand that, we see it often with our own clients.

While we developed the total budget wedding calculator it only shows an average of what you should be paying based on the total number you want to spend for the wedding day.

We also created this free wedding calculator, where you can input the values you want and get an overall idea of what you will be spending.

4-Money-Saving Wedding Tips

Since you’re here, let me give you 4 quick money-saving tips that can help you save money on the vendors you just put into the calculator.

  1. Book vendors during the off-season if your region has one. For example, here in the mountains of Virginia, the off-season is generally from late October to Mid-March. Booking during these times will usually result in fewer costs. That’s because vendors need capital to continue to operate and many will slash costs in order to get bookings for the upcoming year.

  2. Ask about discounts. Sometimes vendors will offer small discounts for first-responders, teachers, or other professionals, although more than likely you may need to ask.

  3. Buy in bulk power. In 2021, you will see more and more photographers offer videos for example. It’s generally cheaper to buy package deals with various vendors attached to them, like our for example. Additionally, small companies may offer other businesses services. Another example, while Carole and I are a wedding photo/video team, we also own a wedding planning company and wedding DJ company separate from what we do.

  4. Our final tip of the day is to hire a wedding planner. Yes, I know, we’re not planners, but I can tell you a secret about hiring one. First, they can save you a ton of money if they help you book vendors like us for example. Vendors are much more likely to give discounts for repeat business, so planners many times will have special pricing for vendors they use on a regular basis. Second, they will help manage the day making things go smoothly so YOU don’t have to worry about the details.
